Cost is one of the top considerations for parents when it comes to choosing an international school. Fortunately, Selangor is home to a number of affordable international schools.

There are plenty of good international schools in Malaysia, especially in Selangor. Here are the international schools in Selangor that charge between RM20,000 and RM30,000 for Year 7 annual tuition fees.

1. Acmar International School

Located in Klang, Acmar International School is an extension of Sekolah Sri Acmar which offers an international education. Acmar International School began operating in 2018 and offers the Cambridge Curriculum at preschool, primary and secondary school levels. The IGCSE examinations are also offered by the school.

 

2. Beaconhouse International Schools

There are two international schools under the Beaconhouse School System umbrella. They are Beaconhouse Newlands International School and Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School. Both schools offer the Cambridge Curriculum leading up to the IGCSE examinations for students in Reception to Year 11.

 

 

3. Brightway International School

Brightway International School currently offers preschool, primary school and secondary school levels. Students in the last year of secondary school sit for the IGCSE examinations. The school is located in Shah Alam.

 

4. Kingsley International School

Kingsley International School was established in 2011. The school offers preschool, primary, secondary and pre-university levels. Students are taught the British Curriculum and sit for the IGCSE and A Level examinations. Kingsley International School also offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities such as fencing, street dance and clay modelling.

 

5. MAZ International School 

MAZ International School began operating in 1992. The school offers the British Curriculum leading up to the IGCSE examinations. A Levels is also offered at pre-university level. MAZ International School is open to students aged three to 19. In addition, boarding facilities are available at the school. MAZ International School has campuses in Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam.

 

6. MITstem International School 

MITstem International School was established by MIT Academy, a vocational college in Malaysia, in early 2019. The school focuses on STEM education and grants the Advanced STEM Certification to students. Design & technology subjects are offered in addition to traditional subjects. The Cambridge IGCSE examinations is also offered. MITstem International School is only open to secondary school students for now.

 

7. Nobel International School

Established in 2004, Nobel International School offers the Cambridge Curriculum leading up to the IGCSE examinations. The school accepts students to enter primary and secondary school levels (Year 1 to Year 11). Nobel International School is located in Kelana Jaya.

8. Qosmo International School

Qosmo International School offers the Cambridge International Curriculum at primary and secondary levels leading to the IGCSE examinations. The preschool level is also available at the school. Qosmo International School is located in Petaling Jaya.

9. R.E.A.L Schools (International & National)

R.E.A.L Schools have campuses in Cheras and Shah Alam. The schools offer the Cambridge Curriculum, British Curriculum, Malaysian Curriculum and IGCSE examinations. The first campus was established in 1985 and offers preschool, primary and secondary school levels.

 

10. Rafflesia International & Private Schools (Kajang)

The school was established in 2013 and offers preschool, primary and secondary education. The curricula offered are the International Primary Curriculum, British Curriculum, Cambridge Curriculum and Malaysian Curriculum. Students sit for the IGCSE examinations at the end of secondary school. Rafflesia has an additional campus in Puchong.

 

11. Seven Skies Islamic International School

Seven Skies Islamic International School offers a combination of the Cambridge Curriculum, Islamic Curriculum and British Curriculum. The school offers preschool, primary and secondary levels. Seven Skies International School is located in Petaling Jaya.

 

12. Sri Emas International School

Sri Emas International School was established in 2012 and is open to students aged 12 to 17. The school offers the British Curriculum at secondary level leading up to the IGCSE examinations. The school is located in Petaling Jaya.

 

13. Sri Kuala Lumpur International School

Established in 1979, Sri Kuala Lumpur International School is the first international school to open in Subang Jaya. The school offers the Cambridge Curriculum at primary and secondary levels. Students sit for the IGCSE examinations at the end of secondary school.

 

14. Tanarata International School

Tanarata International Schools can be found in Kajang. The school offers the Cambridge Curriculum leading up to the IGCSE and A Level examinations. Students can enter levels from Year 1 to Year 13. Tanarata International School began operating in 2007.

 

15. Tenby Schools Malaysia Setia Ecohill

Tenby Schools Setia Ecohill is one of the school’s three branches in Selangor. Located in Semenyih, the school offers the International Primary Curriculum, British Curriculum and IGCSE examinations. Established in 2016, Tenby Schools Setia Ecohill is open to preschool, primary and secondary school students.

 

16. UCSI International School

Located in Subang Jaya, UCSI International School offers the International Primary Curriculum, Cambridge Curriculum and IGCSE examinations. The school was established in 2003 and accepts students from preschool to secondary levels. UCSI International School has another campus located in Negeri Sembilan.
