Just an FYI, The School will still host a Mini Shichi-Go-San this coming weekend (11th & 12th of November10am – 6pm) as part of their monthly “Sun Day Out” initiative – which serves to encourage families and children to come together and enjoy a good bonding time. We have amazing activities such as food fair, children games, japanese origami, windmill workshops, kimono dressing and more.

Traditionally, Shichi-Go-San is held annually on 15 November where parents would take their children to shrines to perform a prayer for their health. During the ceremony, thegirls would dress in Kimonos and the boys in Hakama trousers with Haorijackets and carry a long stick candy thin candy known as Dzchitose-amedz, believed to bring good luck.
