We are organizing this movie projection together with Pisco Bar to help raise funds for PAWS (PAWS Animal Welfare Society), a non-profit animal shelter in Petaling Jaya that has been in operation since 1987. Currently, there are over 250 dogs and 250 cats under the care of the shelter. The shelter and all costs involved in running it are entirely funded by the generous donations of the public as well as proceeds from charitable events (http://www.paws.org.my/)

Rated on IMDB with 8.1, the movie that you will watch is one of the most touching animal movies of all times. This heartwarming true story is an American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the train station square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all, unyielding loyalty.
Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.
