We’re The Color Run, the world’s first COLOR 5KTM event. Founded in 2011, our mission is to bring people together and make the world a happier, healthier place.

By creating an experience that’s more about the memories you make than your mile per minute, we made running feel accessible to a broader demographic.

Now the largest running series in the world, “The Happiest 5K on the Planet” has been experienced by over 6 million runners worldwide in 35+ countries, and continues to be a leader in the fun running space.

Tropicolor World Tour With The Color Run Tropicolor World Tour, we’re bringing the experience of an island vacation full of fun, music and of course, color to cities around the world.

It doesn’t matter if it’s your first race or if you’ve have been joining in for years, The Color Run Tropicolor Tour will be the most memorable 5k you’ll ever experience.

Each Color Runner will receive a limited-edition Tropicolor race shirt, headband and fun temporary tattoos. A finisher’s medal and color pack will be handed out at the finishing line!

How the Event Works

Less about your 10-minute-mile and more about having the time of your life, The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed event in which thousands of participants, or “Color Runners”, are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer.

With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow:

1. Wear white at the starting line!

2. Finish plastered in color!

After Color Runners complete the race, the fun continues with an unforgettable Finish Festival. This larger than life party is equipped with music, dancing and massive color throws, which create millions of vivid color combinations.

Trust us, this is the best post-5k party on the planet!

Is there a packet pick up on event day? How does all that work?

No – race packs should be collected during the Race Pack Collection venue only from the 4 – 7 August 2017.

Is The Color RunTM timed?

The Color Run is not a timed event, it’s a fun run, walk, jog or roll around, whichever.

What if it rains?

We will run in the rain!

What if there is lightning?

Participants should take shelter during any lightning warnings and the event will continue when the lightning has cleared. Our marshals will direct you to take shelter at the closest area of where you are.

Is it safe to participate?

The health and safety of our participants and our employees has always been at the forefront of our minds and actions.

As a professional events company with highly vetted policies and processes, we conduct thorough testing to ensure the safety of our materials and their application.

The Color Run has hosted more than 500 global events with more than four million participants and is committed to staging safe and secure events.

Will the color ruin clothes or running shoes?

The “color” does mostly wash out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better.

We suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful. If you would like to preserve the color in your running shirt, spray it with vinegar and iron it.

If you wash your shirt, the color will eventually come out.

Does the color affect runner vision? Or breathing?

The color powder used at The Color Run event is all certified non-toxic and free of any heavy metals. Our bright colors are a combination of cornstarch, baking soda, and FD&C dyes.

As with any substance, you want to keep it out of your eyes and our certified• color throwers make sure to aim low as you pass by. Some Color Runners opt to wear glasses or goggles for their eyes and use a bandanna or dust mask for their mouths.

Are cameras and phones safe to have in the color zones?

Our race photographers are totally fine shooting from a medium distance (8m to 15m).

If you want to get shots right in the midst of the color we recommend covering cameras/phones with plastic wrap / zip lock bag which you would need to bring it from home.

Do you have “cleaning stations” at the finish after party?

There are washrooms round the venue and we will provide wet tissue and a poncho. You won’t be 100% clean, but you are totally good for the journey home.

It is actually pretty fun to see people still colored up around after The Color Run event. It is like a badge of honor!

Can I run with a jogging stroller and my kids?

On one condition…if you are prepared to be one of the hippest moms/dads on the planet!

As long as they are cute and like to have fun…all kiddos 3 and under can run with an adult FREE

of charge and do not need to register!

Can spectators attend the post-race The Color RunTM party?

Absolutely. You may want to warn them though… they ain’t coming out of The Color RunTM

party clean!
